Yung Icey is a South Carolina born producer who helped shape parts of the modern rap sound through his early work with OMB Peezy, including “Right Through You” and “Out,” and a wider catalog with artists like LUCKI, Denzel Curry, $UICIDEBOY$, and Yung Simmie. Influenced by producers such as Zaytoven, Sonny Digital, Cassius Jay, Metro Boomin, and TM88, he landed his first major placement on Future’s May 2020 album High Off Life with “Pray for a Key,” co produced alongside TM88 and DopeBoi, earning his first plaque as the album went gold fast. On May 7, 2020, he released Care Package, Vol. 1, a compilation bringing select productions from 2016 to 2019 to streaming platforms.
